I can't restore iphone 3gs to 4.0.1 OS - GSM-Forum

my phone is iphone 3gs 3.1.3 OS, I can't restore iphone 3gs to 4.0.1 OS
and i tried many times with 3.1.2, 3.1.3, 4.0, 4.0.1 but no new
the phone doesn't have any shsh files, i tried by umbrella
my question is how can i restore my phone to 4.0.1?

i get the same problem and this tutorial works on mine 3gs with 3.1.3
How to Downgrade iPhone iOS 4.0.2 to iOS 4.0.1 | All on the iPhone, iPod touch & iPad
(title is how to downgrade from 4.0.2 but it works perfectly with upgrade from 3.1.3 to 4.0.1

your 3.1.3 need to be jailbroken and SHSH saved on Saurik server, after you jailbreak your iPhone, open Cydia and press red heart with "make may life easier" text to save SHSH on Saurik server and then start with this tutorial

if you have a shsh file then can be downgrad . without shsh no chance

you just TOO LATE for 4.0.1 SHSH even jailbroken on3.1.3.
best stay with 3.1.3 until further notice.
