hi im trying to upgrade iphone 2g v3.1.2 to 3.1.3 but itune gave me error 23 now phone is in recovery mode and cant update already try with 3 different PC any suggestions

try with dfu mode if same error shows means logic board problem

same error with dfu mode phone was working normal before update

error 23 is related with Itunes, try other versions of Itunes and use USB conectors from mother board not from pc case; turn off AV and firewalls.

Error 23 is related to baseband hardware and i am afraid that you can't solve it.
So stop trying.

u are right,
but if the error comes after Bootneuter (Custom firmware with Bootneuter)
U need to use Itunes 8.0 or older for flash Phone in Dfu Mode

yes ur right there was Bootneuter in menu when i was flash the phone ok i will try with old itune and post result

you don't need to use old iTunes.Just flash phone with official 3.1.3 and jailbreak+unlock with redsn0w 0.9.2 using 3.1.2 firmware.

Please correct me if i´am wrong.
Apple Changes Dfu Operation in 8xx Versions of Itunes.
If u Put Phone to Dfu ,Itunes put it back to Restore and Check imei.
Older Version work in in Dfu.
Update to 3.1.3 not work for these Phones,
u need to use old Version.

you don't need to put phone in DFU,just flash it normally.
you don't need to use old iTunes.
maybe you are more experienced than me,i am also a learner here.
