Iphone 2G stuck on connect to itunes with slide to unlock option!!! - GSM-Forum

Hello Everyone

I have an IPhone 2G which is right now showing connect to iTunes and slide for emergency screen, phone is working with current service provider which is Fido and can receive calls!

I have tried to connect with iTunes to activate it with official sim inside, when I reached to the page where it says to accept terms and conditions, it never let me forward to next step which is to communicate with apple server and activate the iPhone.

Its really something strange that the step iTunes asks for terms and conditions doesn't show anything inside the box instead of showing usual terms and conditions, just the empty box only options to check for accept terms and Continue......

I have installed a fresh iTunes current version 10.5 on a new PC but found same situation!

Could anyone please help here??

If you have firmware version 3.1.2 ó 3.1.3 Do jailbreak with spirit or blackrain and problem solved !!

oh, that's the problem how do I know which version is installed as there is no way to get access to springboard????

ok, i have found a way to find out what version I have installed, I connect with usb on my computer and run iSprit, it shows 3.1.3

but if I use blackrain, I would loose all my stuff inside?

is there any way to back up??

do it, you will not loose nothing, its safe, this process dont erase nothing,
