I guess we'l have to wait for a temporary solution like TURBO SIM.I believe there workin on it, iphone security are getting harder to crack and hack because of the japanese technology they put to much encryptions.

there is NO hardware or software soluiton to unlock BB 5.11. turbosim can't help u. may be later will be Rebel SIM's II firmware, wich can unlock it.

If I restore it with jailbroken 3.1 firmware and unlock with ultrasnow; does it work?

it will not work. there is no way at the moment

Do u mean restoring to custom firmware? What firmware version do u have right now? if it's original 3.1 or 3.1 - your modem firmware is 5.11.07 and nothing can unlock it yet. but if u have 5.08 bootloader (to check it - install fuzzyband from the Cydia) - u could downgrade your modem firmware to older version and unlock older version with ultrasn0w.
