It's highly expected to see one version of ultrasn0w which will be able to unlock iPhone 4 running iOS 4.1 or 4.2.1 (2.10.04 and 3.10.01 basebands) Differently you are asking now about its ETA (estimate to arrival), MuscleNerd has confirmed that the unlock will be released after iOS 4.3 public release which expected to release on the upcoming iPad 2 Media event by March 2nd. Of course I'll keep you informed with all updates, stay tuned. |

Member: 17351 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 41 | I personally Would prefer that Sheriff and the hackers in general would bring out a paid for service using a dongle (to stop it being cracked etc) for jailbreaking and unlocking Iphones. That way they then do owe us something, and also would keep us up to date with facts not fiction. And keeping unlocking and jailbreaking for the professionals. Either way people whining about something they will get free whenver it may be is just stupid. |

Member: 929132 Status: Offline Sonork: ranaboby Thanks Meter: 27 | yes yes baseband 3.10 unlock come on .The iPhone Dev Team, the Chronic Dev Team and Geohot, not necessarily in that order, have already jailbroken iOS 4.2.1 so all Apple devices running that iOS version, including the iPhone 4, can now be jailbroken by anyone interested in such procedures. iPhone ultrasn0w unlock But not all iPhones out there are unlockable at this point and I am referring to new iPhone 4 units sporting baseband 2.10.04 and 3.10.01. There’s not even an official release date for that Ultrasn0w unlock that would make possible the use of any carrier’s SIM card with your brand new iPhone 4. The iPhone Dev Team has been working on the new unlock for a while now, but they’re yet to show any conclusive evidence that would suggest the new basebands can be cracked, especially now that iOS 4.3 is getting closer and closer to official launch. A recent tweet from Sherif Hashim, a famous iPhone baseband hacker working with the iPhone Dev Team, does say that he does have an exploit for both basebands, although this could be considered as too little evidence to support the imminence of the Ultrasn0w unlock release. iPhone 4 New Baseband Unlock But we expect that once iOS 4.3 gets official, and subsequently jailbroken by the current iOS jailbreaking tools, the Ultrasn0w update will be made public, or at least we’ll finally get official news on the progress of its development. So far Apple has pretty much won the battle with hackers considering that its newest phones, while still jailbreakable, are not yet unlockable which is certainly something Apple wants in the first place. But that doesn’t mean the iPhone 4, with baseband 2.10.04 or 3.10.01, won’t be eventually unlocked, even if a lot latter than initially expected.
