iphone 3g restore error 40 - what is about? - GSM-Forum

hi,

IPhone is stuck in recovery mode, i'm trying to restore but always keep getting error 40 after "waiting for iphone" and the apple logo with progress bar not running. I have search the sticky post on iphone error collection but no info about this particular error.

does anyone have info on this error and if it's firnware or hardware problem?

Jst use tiny umbrella...

Or change ur firmware..sumtimes the file have a problem...download a firmware again and then try...

same problem too me. but not any suggestion at the moment
