iPhone 3g stuck in DFU mode (will not restore) - GSM-Forum

I got a 16gb iPhone 3g from someone and it is stuck in DFU mode.

I have attempted to restore it with iTunes but it gets to "verifying iPhone restore" and stays there. The little bar on the iPhone gets to almost halfway below the Apple icon and freezes there. I let it run all night a couple times and same thing.

I do not know what firmware was on the iPhone and have used all the iPhone 3g firmware to attempt the restore but they react the same way.

Any advice?

keep pressing on/off botton and home botton
- also try use direct usb poert not hub
- try restart itunes
- try other pc

i have tryed all change pc change port ireb every thing but same

Put it on DFU mode with redsn0w than edit host file and restore it with itunes..
or try to boot it tethered with redsn0w.. try these

do u know what soft version is on ur iphone ?

i dont know the version of phone i have receve in same condition

try this:
1. disassemble
2: remove battery
3: leave for 3 mins.
4: reconect baterry and assemble
5: restore

hope your problem solve
