Iphone 3g was working now "no service" - GSM-Forum

I have a 3G iphone on O2, the power button was sticking pretty bad so I opened and found lots of dust so i cleaned it, had to remove mainboard to do it

Put it back together carefully, all works except a signal!

I place sim card in and it seems to try to read it but then say "no service".

The carrier menu appears but only T mobile and 3 network, I've tested a T mobile but itunes says not a valid SIM

Mainboard looks fine and no damage
Never had unlock previous and wasn't undated (however did update to see it it helped)
Reset all settings

Any ideas?

I forgot to add specs didn't I

iOS 4.2.1
basband 05.15.04

Only unlock is to move to ipda baseband but not keen on that idea unless have a reliable downgrade

It's a 3G mate... doesn't matter only if it's a 3Gs.

if u have old boot u can dowgrad the baseband, not move to ipad baseband. that's why i askl!!!

open it up again and check the little connector marked 6 hasnt come loose, (im not sure if its the wifi)
but i had simliar issue after replacing a screen and turned out it was that had come loose i conencted it and got signal back.
worth try maybe

Bootload version 06.04

Opened and reconnected all cables couple of times now

Update ur baseband to 6.15 brother ur phone will work 100 percent i did many phones.
