Iphone 3gs 4.2.1 problem after jailbreaking

Hi everyone
Can anyone help me to solve my problem?
I have Iphone 3GS 4.2.1 which i jailbreaked with redsnow 0_9.6rc16.
Now i have to do boot tethered every time when i turn off Iphone. I am not happy with that. I can update it to 4.3.3 with a custom restore software but then i will not be able to backup all my data saved on PC. Is any solution to fix this problem?

just run greepoison and jailbreak the phone with it and ur phone should be booting normal
but why cant you update to 4.3.3
anyway wait couple days and u will be able to install IOS 5 which is better and cooler

I have the same problem I encountered today for iphone 3GS ios 4.2.1 (bb05.15.04) I downgraded it to 4.1 and then jailbreak it with redsnow 09.6b6. Tick cydia and iPad. Unlock it with ifunbox. It works 100% with me and the signal is stable. Try it bro. good luck.

P.S.
After downgrading to 4.1 it will show you the error. Check it with tiny umbrella to see if your ios is already 4.1. If not try again the same procedure it will show you the error at the end but your ios successfully give you 4.1.

Cannot update it because get 3194 from itunes. If i update it with a custom restore firmware then i will not be able to do a data back up.
Will try to do it with greenpoison.

Hello Friends,

Had an iphone 3gs on 4.2.1 baseband 6.15 after jailbreak and unlock it always stuck on apple logo and has to use redsnow "Just Boot Tethered" for fully functional, but now its all ok by downgrade to 4.1. Here is a method i used to downgrade.

Note : Need shsh blobs saved for the firmware you want to restore.

1. Open redsnow 0.9.6rc7b

2. Browse for the firmware "iPhone2,1_4.2.1_8C148a_Restore.ipsw"

3. Click "Yes" in windows that appear after identifying firmware.

4. Click "Next" and check on "Just enter pwned DFU mode right now", phone on dfu mode now.

5. Open Tinyumbrelly and start TSS server.

6. Open Itunes, shift+restore and browse for the firmware "iPhone2,1_4.1_8B117_Restore.ipsw"

at a end of restore process there was an error 1015 and the phone in dfu mode, that had been fixed using tinyumbrella by "exit recovery"

7. At last Jailbreak with redsnow 0.9.6rc7b and unlocked using ultrasnow.

Now the phone boots ok without using redsnow "Just Boot Tethered" option.
