Iphone 3GS 5.15.04 / 4.2.1 Upgrade

I have this version which is factory unlocked but someone is giving me poor GPS signals most of the time and a bit of overheating too(which is unusual as I heard that this happen only to baseband upgraded iphones).

I was wondering if someone could provide me further info about which firmware version should I upgrade it too and the best unthetered jailbreak.

if u are sure its factory unlocked then just upgrade to latest version in itunes as this is free for u (i.e if tru that its factory unlocked)

if not factory unlocked then try custom flashes of latest version of 3GS... hope this helps ...

yes I factory unlocked it, I mean i unlocked it through the provider so it is permanently locked.
If I upgrade it to the lates version on itunes which guide can I use to jailbreak it, as I heard some are tethered jailbreak but i want a full unthetered jailbreak.

if fully unlock " factory Unlock " no more headache just updateto itunes and will be ok

read forum boss all is there for free jailbreaking....update firmware first then jailbreak...
