Iphone 3gs cant restore - GSM-Forum

i have iphone 3gs jailbreaked.. software version 5.1.1
now i want to restore it via itunes..

itunes downloaded the whole large software , extracted it , then error accired..

"iphone can not be restored..unknown error accrued..error 3194"

why my iphone 3gs can not be restored?

also when i plug it on charger or on computer , it shows "charging is not supported with this accessory"

any help?

try to restore with 6.0.1 version & post result.

i dnt want to update it to 6.0.1

m ok with 5.1.1 as it runs smooth...any way to unjailbreak and restore 5.1.1?

you need first to have shsh files saved if you want to restore to 5.1.1
Make a custom firmware with redsnow 0.9.14.b2
And select that custom
If you receive the same error go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc edit the host file (delete the last lines with gsm.apple) and try again

About that msg check cable or charger port
I have many with that problem but after restore doesn't show that msg

i am new to ios , so is there any step to step tutorial available for restore?

after serching forum ,
i checked my hosts file , but there is no command line like gsm.apple

so why this error accruing?

help pls

use redsn0w to get shsh from iphone.
you'll get a 709a07a1c608fb8a17febbb4a4b0ca7da89abcf9.plist similar file in c:\users\yourusername\.shsh\.known_devices.

Use that file to sign 5.1.1 firmware (with same redsn0w) and your ready to restore to same version. Already tested with iphone 3gs and not sure if with iP4.

Please can you explain as step by step here because I have same problem
want to upgrade ver 5.1 to 5.1.1 and unlock it
before all passed ok but now only error 3194

bro first thing you want to downgrade or upgrade if you want to downgrade only you can do on 4.1 if update then only latest version which is 6.0.1
if its giving error 3194 while upgrading use tiny umbrela to fix it from here
tinyumbrella-6.01.01.exe

download it run it go in advance tab close it and restart your pc after this do you upgrade it will be fine.

i downloaded latest redsnow 0.9.10b5c
when i clicked fetch shsh ,
it gives error "unrecognized build. fingerprint e71efe9b...bla bla
please check if u have latest version or ios version is supported or not..

i am running ios 5.1.1

what to do now?

i have got my shsh for 5.1.1 through cidya and shsh-it app on iphone 3gs
i emailed my 5.1.1 shsh and saved dem on my pc

i downloaded redsnow but i cant stitch my shsh to my ios 5.1.1 firmware

when i stitch , it gives error"The blobs could not be verified"

any sugession?

Redsn0w 0.9.15b3
Use this version, the latest.

Get 5.1.1 ipsw for 3gs.
On redsn0w, go to extras-select ipsw->point to dowloaded 5.1.1 3gs ipsw.
then extras-shsh blobs-fetch.
then Extras-even more-restore.

i clicked on restore ,
1. selected my ipsw
2. den selected shsh files for restore

restore completed 100% but phone stuck on recovery mode
when i click fix recovery mode , it downloads jailbreak data and returns to recovery mode...
what to do now?
