iPhone 3gs dead after blackra1n - GSM-Forum

Hi, Got an iPhone 3gs firmware 3.1.2, modem version 05.11.07 and boot version was 6.4. With f0recast-1.0.2.exe I found it was unlockable with blackra1n. And the phone was unactivated. So I tried to jailbreak with blackra1n but now phone became dead. When I connect it shows connected with itunes but can't restore or doing any thing. Please help.

ive got the same problem with an iphone 3gs 3.1.2 32gb
tried everythink even restore with 3.1.3 original ... nothing ...need to send to apple :-(

have u tried to reset the phone and after power on dfu mode, tried to use again blackra1n again ?

Hi, Yes, I have done it several time, when i try to blackra1n after reset shows waiting for device, but it goes forever, I can see pc is getting the set even with itunes.

i don't know, to block itunes to detect the phone launch redsn0w and leave it, then run blackra1n. tested.

1-iphone is in dfu mode {u have to know}

2-use itune 9..

3-download iPhone2,1_3.1.3_7E18_Restore

4-restore n wait for unlocking solution.

Hi, Yes mate, you right I am not using this file cause I am trying to get the phone as before like be able to unlock. Without updating the firmware 3.1.3 I am looking the solution.

My 3g ia allso stuck in DFU. Restored with 3.1.3 and 4.1, but get error 6. What does this mean?
Other iphones restore fine on my pc.

hey bro,

There is only one solution, that is upgrade to 4.1 apple original ipsw, with itunes 9.2 (VERY IMPORTANT) to avoid all the errors, unlock or jailbreak of 4.1 is not possible as off now, we are waiting for green poison. Cheers, hope it helps.
