I have an iphone 3gs that search after a while it show NO SERVICE. here is the phone info:
Iphone 3gs
Version 4.2.1
Modem Firmware 05.15.04

I HAVE FACTORY UNLOCKED
iPhone 3GS 32 GB 4.2.1 UPDATED
NETWORK SEARCHING/NO SERVICES

jailbreak with redsn0w_win_0.9.6b5 +select install cydia +select update base band and unlock with cydia .i hope your problem must be solve . post result ...

1 open redsnow 9.6
2. select the orignal firmware 4.2.1
3. click on instaall ipad baseband

do further steps

it may take minimum 10-15 minutes for the procedure

install ultra snow again

u need to install ipad baseband using redsnow 0.96B6 and then rerun ultrasn0w

check to see if ultrasnow is installed. If it is remove it, baseband 05.15.04 can not be unlock. You will have to update baseband like everyone is saying but you might lose some features like gps and some other things too. Plus you will be stuck with that baseband until a higher version come out.

Same as mine...Update to IOS 4.2.1
