restart your pc...

open redsnow then check just enter pawnedin dfu mode..

restore to 4.1 ipsw if error 1015 use tiny umbrella or iRec toexit recovery..

copy a fresh hosts file from Microsoft website do not edit anything do not pt any Apple's server address and give it a shot
delete 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com
74.208.105.171 phobos.apple.com
74.208.105.171 albert.apple.com

all this stuff okay n give it a shot

I'm with iPod 3 64gb with this block of code tried the above procedure by changing the host from iTunes, I used several versions of FW from 3.1.3 to 4.3.3 and still same error in 3194. I use 32bit Win 7 and already tested it on another PC with Win XP, I use Itunes version 10.2.2.14.

I used this FW.
iPod3, 1_3.1.3_7E18_Restore
iPod3, 1_4.2.1_8C148_Restore
iPod3, 1_4.3.1_8G4_Restore
iPod3, 1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore
