Iphone 3Gs stuck on recovery mode, error 1015 - GSM-Forum

took my iPhone to a shop to unlock it from my mobile provider (no coverage in my new house and still 18-months left on my contract without option to cancel!). They installed Cydia, which I later found-out is a jailbreak software. Once I found the app and read about what it was, I wanted to get rid of it. Being in a hurry, I connected to iTunes and chose to upgrade to iOS 4.3.2.

It is now stuck in recovery mode with a 1015 error every time I try to restore. I have tried:
1) re-setting,
2) connecting to a different mac and to a different windows computer and trying to restore

I took it to the Apple Store Genius Bar and they say they can't touch it with the 1015 error. Does anyone have any suggestions?

use redsnow n press just boot tethered right now , ur problem will solve .

hi
your phone baseband is already updated to ipad baseband(6.15),thats why you getting error 1015 while trying to restore official ipsw.
so,
try these steps..your problem wil 100 solve
(first run tiny umbrella and click exit recovery....if canot exit recovery do the steps given below)

1. download latest version redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc19 and try to jailbreak...process may b stuck last moment,dont worry..swich of phone by holding power and home button together.
2.run tiny umbrella again and click exit recovery... now do jailbreak...done

error 1013 can also make by these steps

100% working
3gs stuck in dfu with bb06.15 or stuck recovery,,,

just download software called fixrecovery from here
The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella: FixRecovery Updated - 4.3 supported

in folder you will get 2 version 1st for 4.2.1 second for 4.3
open software put ur phone in dfu mode and thats it software will do the rest

Hello Brother,
So your problem maybe caused because you have iPad baseband. After flashing the phone through any clean firmware you will have this problem. The only solution is to make a CUSTOM firmware.

Now almost all 3Gs have a SHSH saved on cydia you just need to know what is the exact Version. I suggest you to try 4.1.

The process:
-Use sn0wbreeze 2.1 and firmware 4.1 to create a Custom firmware.

-Modify your hosts 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com

-Use iReb 4 to enter DFU

-Use itunes to RESTORE the iPhone using the custom firmware

-Error is suppose to Go. If ever still error 1015 use iReb 4 to Kick out from RECOVERY. And it should be working perfectly.

Mind if you do not have SHSH for any firmware for your 3Gs, then you will need to wait UNTIL Sn0wbreeze release a new version (depends when a latest firmware will be unthethered).

I agree with you but here the Problem is that it make ERROR 1015, but for your problem the phone will Restore 100% but will get stuck on APPLE.

So here its a Problem of Software!

hai firendes i use tiniumberlla+ireb+iRecovery+redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc16+ EasyJailbreakBatch

thies all tools me use and also 27 times update new version {iPhone1,2_4.2.1_8C148_Restore}

and same problem

phone still in dfu mode{recovery mode}
iphone could not be restored error 1015

hai friendes any soulations
