iphone 3gs version 3.0, please help - GSM-Forum

HI ALL!!

I got a Iphone 32gb 3gs version 3.0 firmware 04.26.08.

i did try to jail break by jailbreakme, However It said version too old can not be jailbreak.

Please advice me what should i do?

3.0 is jailbreakable easy, check for first version of redsn0w

You meant use "reddSn0w 3.0 for Windows " to jailbreak?

Do we need restore file 3.0 to do it?

If can, please give me more detail.

Redsnow apeared when OS 3.0 was out !
So use this very first version to do this

Yes need restore file.

You can Restore is using Custom Activated Firmware(none BB update) if phone is not factory unlock, if phone is Factory Unlock you can use latest 4.3.2 FW then JB it with redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc14.

i TRY TO RESTORE IT TO VERSION 3.1.2 ON ITUNE. HOWEVER IT COMES WITH ERROR 3194 AND CAN NOT RESTORE ON ITUNE AT ALL.

PLEASE HELP

try to edit your "HOST FILE" if persist "DELETE HOST FILE"..

then post your result...

1.use redsn0w 8.0.2 0r 8.0
2.select FIRMWARE 3.0
3.select install cydia

4.unlock with ultrasn0w.

There is no need to change firmware at all!
Just apply with old redsn0w!

Old version 3.0 is quicker to unlock than ultrasnow ones.

you can update to last verion 4.3.2 and jailbreak with redsnow rc14 .
