Iphone 4 doesn't charge and resets - GSM-Forum

Hello. I have an Iphone 4. When I plug the USB into the wall adaptor it turns on and asks me to plug it into itunes. The battery indicator on the upper right hand corner has a picture of a wall plug on it. I never see the battery charger screen. If I unplug the phone then it turns off immediately.

When I plug the phone directly into a usb port, either 1.0 or 2.0 the apple logo turns on for about 3 seconds and the phone keeps rebooting.

Should I Just replace the battery or is there a problem with the logic board? The previous owner said there was water damage, but none of the water sensors are pink at all.

To be more specific. When I turn it on plugged into the wall it says that there is an accessory plugged in that is not optimized.

I'm thinking I should replace the dock, I have a spare and that's what I'll do. Maybe I'll order a battery too. I'm just fearing that I may have to remove and reflow a new IC. Anybody have advice in that regard?
