keep on trying its apple server problem as this error started when 4.2.1 was release as i think apple now give 2 signature one to restore the phone then after restore itune confirmed the baseband changes with apple then it will complete the full retore but its backfire on them as maybe there is a communication error after fw restore completed. as 4.2.1 has this new baseband check... anyway i tried many normal iphone 4 restore and sometimes its takes me all day to successfully restore the damn thing. its got noting to do with gs server or itune i tried it all.. don't waste time just keep on trying the restore if there is no hardware problem with the phone it will restore....
