Sometimes it is enough to get non-pressible buttons) If you've changed metal pusher, compare its size to the old one. It is important to place new button (mounted on flex) on bracket using small holes on it. This guide may be useful to you. Check step 27. |

This is entire point of thread. I do not have any bracket. I have chrome button (same as old) I have the frame, and I have black plastic mount that electronic button is part of. That is it. Both old and new flex cables are identical.. nothing to transfer from one to the other. Nothing fell out when I removed the old assembly. (remember this phone was used to me and the button never worked or had any travel. So back to the title and point of this thread... Am I missing what must be a spacer bracket? and if so where do I find it. thanks to all Wingryder ps this is a cdma phone but this part is the same on both. |

Two listings down is the complete flex cable for a cdma model . This is the exact item I bought and in their description it says complete with earphone and "power button bracket" So I guess I am not missing anything. Just not sure why it will not go together right. I will try again. thanks to all for help |

Member: 2526946 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Well turns out the new proximity cable has a bad switch on it. I put the phone together without the outside metal button thinking I could switch it with a plastic probe but it does not move or switch anything at all. Phone went back together and worked fine except for this. I have a another new cable and switch assembly coming so will try again. Nice to have a source like this to bounce questions off from those that have "been there, done that". I will post a update when the new install is complete thanks again |
