iphone 4 no service after unlocking

handset was working with gevey sim, it was three uk blocked ,i make factory unlock of it and updated it to 5.1 but now after searching some times it became no service and when i try to search network manual ,it dosnt search any network,need help spent lot of money to get it unlocked *******r want give money in no network case.

it was earliar working with gevey , customer want it to permanently unlocked so i applied for factory unlocking after it was unlocked i updated it 5.1 now after activation it is no service tried different sims and updated two times but still same.

The official basebands installed for iOS 5.1 are:
iPhone 3Gs = 05.16.05
iPhone 4 = 04.12.01
iPhone 4S = 2.0.10

These are not currently unlockable with Ultrasn0w. If you mistakenly upgraded an unlocked/jailbroken iPhone via iTunes to a regular iOS update you will end up on one of these basebands and lose that unlockable functionality.

try to update it via direct itune(not stock firmwere).

it is now factory unlocked and it is updated with itunes and in end it says congratulations your handset is unlocked it was barred three uk iphone now using in india .

perhaps ur baseband firmware upgrade to 4.12.01...cause of no service now ur iphone....try to activate in itunes with carrier original sim...

now after factory unlock we can activte it with any sim and it is doing,some body tell me it is barred phone only reason for no network can be related to that .

hey, I am having the same problem. Was using Gevey but decided to factory unlock. only that after i had done the unlock and gotten the congrats! message in itunes, my phone shows no service. I have checked the Carrier in settings and it is my local carrier and the phone number is also detected.

However, i manage to get an occassional signal but that is rarely then the phone goes back to searching and no service. I've tried all the solutions but none has fixed the problem. Now want to try and upgrade to iOS 6 currently on 4.3 to see if that'll fix it. But would like to hear from you if you succeeded in fixing yours.
