iphone 4 ota update problem

this is my own phone, went to use it this morning and it was off, plugged mains charger in and it booted to update complete screen, click continue then it says to connect to iTunes.
The problem is if I connect it to the computer it just keeps rebooting to the apple logo, and it power off when I remove the charger at the connect to iTunes screen.
I have had similar problems with dead batteries and shorted caps on the mobo in the past, but the fact this says update complete makes me think it has done a ota update and is a firmware problem.(was on 6.1.3 never jailbroke)
tried reflashing from dfu and pwned dfu but get err 21 or 1602.

anybody any idea's.

well to my surprise a replacement battery sorted it, must have just been coincidence the battery failed after a ota update, or maybe the update was to do with battery management and killed the battery.......
