Member: 1374289 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Host File location C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts open with notepad , remove any line referring apple servers like 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com If windows block editing then open the file with administrative privileges. Still no success copy host file to any other location , edit as desired. Then copy back to original location. Restart computer. |

Member: 2068386 Status: Offline Sonork: d78 Thanks Meter: 0 | You can connect it to iTunes and restore it, which will wipe it, OR you can download TinyUmbrella and kick it out of recovery. Once you do that, the installer should complete normally (it did for me). 1) Download and install TinyUmbrella for your PC/Mac. 2) Make sure iTunes isn't running and connect your device via USB. 3) Open up TinyUmbrella. Your device should show up on the left. Click on it and then choose "exit recovery". 4) Profit. |
