Iphone 4 stuck on waiting for iphone
 

I am trying to restore an iphone 4 for verizon. I tried restoring normally and I also tried restoring in dfu mode with no sucess. The phone gets to the first waiting for iphone status in itunes and does not advance. The phone itself shows the apple logo with an empty loading bar. When I restart the phone the screen turns black and will not display anything even though my computer can see it. The screen will display once I start the restore process. Itunes is up to date. Any takers?

try another battery, cable, computer if this not help probably nand problem.
You can also try to use redsn0w just boot option it should exit from dfu loop or recovery loop.
