Hi
if you use last itunes and you have tested usb hosts etc the problem is at proximity sensor flex.
Remove the sensor and try agin without connected then replace it.

Remove sensor , repair wifi module
and without ceasing restore butt same problem

I had the same problem for 3 DAYS!!!!

My 4S had no water damage, Never Dropped and was working PERFECTLY before tying to update to ios 8.1. And it gave me error 4013 while updating.

Here is what I did after a few days of playing around with it.

I finally fixed it.. I could not believe it.

From reading people say remove the prox flex cable...

Here is what I did.

I used a clean laptop. No iphone jailbreaking programs. tiny umbrella ect...

I removed both cameras, power flex, vol flex.

And in Itunes I used IOS 8.1 NOT IOS 8.1.1

I put the 4S in recovery (press home button and plug in to itunes)

And pressed Shift on my keyboard and pressed UPDATE on itunes.

Searched for my IPSW 8.1

And it itunes updated my 4S

I hope this post helps someone!!!

Hi my friends I just found the solution don't do anything stupid Just change the Battery and try to restore it. Its work for me for you have good luck. Bye

heat the entire plate
chips all connect itunes and works 100%
