iPhone 4S Restore - an unknown error occurred (1) - GSM-Forum

Dont know why this phone is giving this error when we restore (about 10% to the end of the restore process).

Its a new phone, but we have played with X-Sim and Jailbreaking

Any ideas ?

Try with last version of redsnow to select the IPSW after select recovery fix.

Tried, but say its only for 4 and 3GS, Not for 4S

I think You will lost your phone imei & Baseband.
Thats y phone is now recovery mode only..!!
You Can't fix it now..

If I can restore it out of Restore mode, that will be fine, even if it doesnt get network

Check hosts file if using windows

delete all *apple.com* entries if you have and restart your pc. Have you tried on different pc?

nobody asked here what you doing ( Downgrade/Upgrade ? ) and you have this error .
becoz they didn't read iTunes errors collection post as you . time's up to read now .

Don't waste your time brother if your restore iPhone 4s got error 1 it's problem with hardware , This one trust me your iPhone NO WIFI ,NO IMEI, NO Bluetooth

you need to reball baseband chip

i heared also its baseband Chip, But is there a way i can get it to go out of restore mode ? ustomer is willing to take it and return it if only he can see the desktop (springboard)

simple phone dfu mode and restore with orignal firmware 5.1.1

That is the issue, the x-sim has unmounted the baseband trying to modify stuff for unlock process, you may have issues bcus bb is not recongnized now by itunes. try to check in basebandupdater log u will see what i mean.

The best thing you can do is leave rebel sim in the phone even if its in recovery mode just leave the rebel in it for some time and try again to restore. I fixed a few no imei on 4s this way.
