Iphone 4s Screen Goes Black

My 4s screen went black, phone was still working. No drop, no water damage. Could not shut off with power button, soft reset works to restart screen. If I press firmly anywhere om the screen, or hold the phone between two fingers and squeeze it will go black. I opened and checked connections, all seem fine. Even put another screen on to test and same happens. Seems to be a hardware issue? Anyone experience this problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes. Took it out of my pocket and it died in my hands. No prior trauma. I've ruled out battery and screen since I swapped them and it did not fix the problem. What would you go after next - power flex cable? I can change out anything except mobo related. Anyone think it's mobo?
