Iphone 4S strucked in recovery mode/ restoration gives -1 error...need solution - GSM-Forum

Hi,

I have updates I Phone4s to 5.1 and stucked in recovery mode now.
Used recboot, tiny umberalla fix recovery, it causes the iphone rebooting in continuous loop.
I tried to restore with 5.1 but am getting -1 error. tried to restore on differant computers and differant modes but still no luck.

Now phone in recovery mode.....please help me

i have same problem was working so i update it to 5.1 in restoring show me error 1

Restore in custom firmware

Delete the hosts file and disable your anti virus. Then try it with itunes latest version 10.6 and restore your iphone to ios 5.1 your problem will 100% solves.

Use Redsnow 0.9.10b6 chose Extras
Select IPSW 5.1
and after Click RecoveryFix

Is your "solyousan" work with 4S also ?

error 1 solution

try to flash in dfu mode . if u flash in recovery mode most of the time show error 1

I have tried to restore custom restore but same error
tried to restore in DFU mode again same error...

Even i have read some reasons its baseband chip error
so wht to do?

restore with MAC not helped me

Antivirus disalbed and tried everything but same issue

Yes...its working fine before restore....

if iphone was ok
try to check battery 1st change it if you got another one and try restoring again

if the same then u have bad luck and its baseband problem which needs replacement

No, NO NO, its not baseband. or any Hardware fault. it is bootloader security at 4S only. this habben because you just want to do clean restore to ios 5.1, not update as you wrote at your first post. and also i think it was one or more time to downgrade to ios less than 5.1, so 4S will never let you downgrade or restore. dont do any more with it and never open it cover, sent it to Apple service since it is less than one Year.

if you dont have warrantie to it, thwn will tell you the only way which will work to rest this security and can restore to last ios 5.1

Do you think some specific data ( not in User area) has been erased during clean restore ?
