Member: 177515 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Greetings everybody. I ve iPhone 3G 16GB, no backlight as soem other of us :-) I guess I did a shortcut while I was connecting the connector nr1 (i pressed it too much to left). (Or the flexcable went off as I bend it too much). I did not changed my LCD yet but I have ordered it already. My motherboard looks different than one on the picture above. Any of You repaired that backlight yet? By changing the parts in red circle? Anyone has an idea witch of the pins in the connector nr 1 gives the current to a backlight? I wish to be sure there is NO juice there before I desolder anything on the MB. Be well folks! Cuba |

Member: 895524 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 33 | really depends the situation your are in GUYS . But i would always suggest to inspect both the connectors for you LCD and the main board LCD connector. Clean, or clean and resolder the joins if there any corrosion, if still dont work change LCD, if it doesnt work still wash the board and use ultra sound cleaning device/washer, if it still dont work try reheat or try changing new coils on the board . to take coil out you will need a plastic weller(desolder), heat chip about 450degree and should come off. then resolder it. Word of advice stay away from the black sealer bits, it might heat up and bust your board >.< Also another general rule when REPLACING IPHONE LCD SWITCH OFF THE DARN PHONE |
