Iphone dev team wont release jailbreak for iOS 4.0.2 , ipod os 3.2.2 & ipad OS 3.2.2 - GSM-Forum

For those who have iphone 3g and ipod touch can jailbreak there iphone if they have accidently updated iphone to 4.0.2 by using redsn0w 0.9.beta5 but for those who got iphone 3gs, 4g and ipad they can't jailbreak for now..
They just need to wait for launch of new firmware.

No, there won’t be. FW 4.0.2/3.2.2 was *only* released to fix the jailbreakme hole. With FW 4.1 still in its beta stages, it makes no sense to escalate the “cat & mouse” with Apple for FW updates that only fix the jailbreak holes. To quote WOPR, “the only winning move is not to play”.
If the cat & mouse game escalates too quickly, especially during beta FW periods, nobody but Apple benefits. For this reason, there won’t be a 4.0.2/3.2.2 jailbreak specifically during the period where 4.0.2/3.2.2 is the latest public release. At best, some future 4.1x FW jailbreak *may* be compatible with 4.0.2/3.2.2 (but don’t count on that).

Hello Guys,

i have 3G iphone and i have accidentally upgraded to 4.0.2 then i have tried to downgrade but didnt successfully downgrade everytime i give it 4.0 firmware it gives error,

i tried through Redsn0w in PC it says its DONE but no cydia in iphone....

wots wrong it in ?

please guide me how to downgrade it or jailbreak it

maybe The Dev-Team need a good relax some time, Im still soak in the fixed on FaceTime and MMS Problem on iPhone 4 caused by Using JailbreakMe, now this... sigh

You could just downgrade to iphone ios 4.0.1. now currently 4.0 is banned since it was a beta version.. Or you could just downgrade to lower versions like 3.1.2.... If you downgrade to 4.0.1 use jailbreakme.com to jailbreak and through cydia search and install ultrasn0w to unlock... And if you downgrade to 3.1.2 run blackra1n to jailbreak and install cydia through it... In cydia - Manage- edit-add-repo666.ultrasn0w.org and download ultrsn0w through it....

You could use redsn0w beta 5 to jailbreak ios4.0.2 if you wish not to downgrade... And unlock through ultrasn0w...
