Member: 78619 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 297 | iPhone Different sim detected connect to itunes solution 100% no need to jailbreak or flash etc..i was stuck with same problem... finaly i got it from other forum..  What U have to Do::.. just sit on it for a while and follow steps.. 1-All you need to remove the previous activation, for that you need to follow the below procedures. 2.1- Install OpenSSH in you iphone using Cydia (search for OpenSSH) 2.2 Install WinSCP for Windows (WinSCP :: Download) 3. Use WinSCP to connect to iPhone Windows Guide To Using WinSCP With iPhone  4. Follow the below steps: 4.1 Download patched lockdownd file from here RapidShare: Easy Filehosting 4.2 Navigate to to /private/var/root/Library/ and copy lockdown folder to your desktop (for backup just in case - this you need to do)   4.3 Delete that folder from phone 4.4 Unzip downloaded patched file and upload to phone to replace the folder you just deleted   4.5 Naviagte into patched folder and make sure file pemissions are set to 644 for all files (follow the procedure in Step 3 above) 4.6 Reboot phone.With any sim..(As fone is already unlocked) enjoy all sims.. Member: 392092 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | i WISH i knew of this before i decided to restore to 3.1.3 in order to try and re-apply ultrasn0w. now i am stuck at the activation screen (emergency call screen) even though i have my locked phones official carrier sim.. And I cant jailbreak cause spirit doesnt work on an unactivated phone. nor can i throw a hacktivated ipsw as i am on boot loader 6.4. It happened because I tried and activate in another country... uqbah, what would you reccomend? run a proxy? |

Member: 1334535 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 15 | took care of the diff sim situation but now can't sync hello, thank you for the info.. tried this with a client's 3GS locked to Orange UK wanting to switch to VodaCom-SA JB'd with spirit unlocked with ultrasn0w 93 as soon as orange sim was switched out for Voda, showed voda signal but screen locked up with the Different SIM detected msg added afc2 went in with iPhoneBrowser followed instructions posted in this thread phone now is not on lock screen and shows voda signal but.... it will now not connect to iTunes nor iPhoneBrowser shows err msg: iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000001). please advise, Thank you! |
