iPhone error -1 - GSM-Forum

Hi, ive got a problem, i tried to upgrade my phone (iphone4) and it looked good i mean the process was almost done and in the end i get an error -1, what can be the problem, i tried also with redsn0w to fix restore loop, but i think its an other problem, tried also with an other battery, please help.

cause of error-1

pc

usb cable (pc to phone)

battery

baseband ic's

so try 1 by 1

Apple server problem. Apple can't update your baseband (for whatever reason), and that's why throws error -1. Are you trying to update custom firmware or official?

iam using windows7 and iam trying to restore an official firmware.

yes,I agre with that...if u got error -1 while restore original firmware dont use any program jailbreak or whatever,just restore again with good connection cable and internet,sometimes appel server got crazy(down)

its a baseband chip problem man..there is no imei in the phone thats why itunes gives error -1..install costom firmware and check

Open RedSn0w, and click Extras then Recovery fix.

buddy close itunes open latest redsn0w go to extras than recovery fix . after that put iphone in dfu wait until it finishes than phone will boot normally

thank you guys for all the help, so what i did i used redsnow with ipsw 6.0 and got the recovery error fixed. now the problem that i have is that the phone has got no serial number wifi and bluetooth doesnt work either. so i guess its the baseband chip, but can we fix this?
