iPhone Jailbreaking and Unlocking Declared Legal in US - GSM-Forum

The Library of Congress has declared iPhone Jailbreaking and Unlocking as legal. New anti-circumvention exceptions has been introduced to the DMCA policies that now legally allow iPhone owners to jailbreak their devices and let them install 3rd party apps (not provided by iTunes Store).

This is, indeed,a great news for the jailbreak community! Spirit jailbreak for iPhone 4 and Ultrasn0w Unlock for iPhone 4 both will be out in a few days.
