Iphone Unlock for AT&T USA - GSM-Forum

I have gone through major of the iPhone Unlock service sellers, none of them offer any IMEI unlock for AT&T USA.

Can someone tell why is this the case? There are so many customers who want iPhone unlock especially for AT&T

PS: I know AT&T doesn't let you unlock your iPhone even after completing the contract! AT&T *****!

The standard unlocking procedure for the AT&T customer is to call customer care and explain his/her reasons to unlock the phone. AT&T does not allow to do that with their iPhones. That means that even the employee of AT&T cannot send such a request to Apple.
"Unlock service sellers" are using either calculators(fastest and cheapest codes) or some "friends" from the employees of the carrier or the manufacturer. As I told you above an AT&T employee cannot do that at all. The service that was once available used either some "friend" inside Apple or some hole in Apple servers. Apple found the leak and fixed it. Even in case someone else will find some vulnerability in Apple security (human or software) it wouldn't last long.

So you mean to say, unlocks for other networks is available just because there are some friends, or there are some flaws in Apple's servers? and yeah iPhone codes are not calculated, in the official Unlock method they are unlocked in the Apple's database, so a code calculator won't work here!

I think there are no flaws in Apple servers, at least no public ones. Some carriers are unlockable and some are not because of the flaws in their local security.
