iPhone won't be recognized by computer and now stuck in white circle of death! - GSM-Forum

my iphone 3G won't charge and be recognized by my computer. i tried all methods like changing battery and putting it in DFU mode but nothing worked. my last resort was to erase content and settings. i tried to reset the iphone by erasing the settings and content because i think it is a software problem, because it still charges when battery is empty, but when it has already loaded the springboard, the charging will stop and it cant be detected by my computer. now, i am now stuck in the white circle of death and DFU won't work. is my iPhone bricked? someone please post a reply. any help would be very GREATLY appreciated.

let your phone with cable connect to computer usb about 1 hr... your phone not dead
after that make it dfu and restore it

My computer won't still recognize my iPhone even though its in DFU mode.

use tiny umbrella and convert it to recovery mode then itunes will detect and you can restore.

Mate do you know how to use IREB. I suggest you use that one. that is your last resort.

I can't use iReb because my computer won't recognize my iPhone. It won't even load the springboard because i'm stuck with the white circle of death. Is there a hardware modification I can try to fix this?

I would like to emphasize that my phone is also experiencing the white circle of death. It hangs before it can even start the springboard.

Disassemble phone then check or replace your iphone connector/charging port then connect to the pc every things should go on well, flash with itunes and then jailbreak.

Is it considered broken if it charges when iphone is off but if it loads springboard it stops?

what was the history of your phone? before it happened?

it had no past problems. it just happened all of a sudden. any suggestions?

I had encounter such that problem before . What i did was i take out the usb terminal out and clean it. then put it back to dfu mode i use the ireb and it works for me. check the home button of your iphone if its still working if not then you cant get into dfu mode.
