Solution is simple. Put the phone in DFU mode and restore by iTunes.

Trouble comes when you want to unlock/jailbreak the phone.
Please provide more details about the phone - current firmware, what you want to do with the phone etc.

no first dump u'r shsh thought ifaith and restore with signed ipsw ( that u create with ifaith ) and restore without any porblem of if u have factory unlocked restore to 5.0 if u use gevey don't restore to 5.0 because u will lose unlock in u'r iphone.

thanks, i got that iphone in disabled, that is unlocked or not, i dont know.

well that is disabled,then how can i see the current firmware. m new in ios.

Get this:

1. Click Extras
2. Click SHSH Blobs
3. Click Fetch
4. Follow the instructions
It will fetch SHSH blobs and save it as "imei-iPhone3,1_x.x.x_xxx.plist

Post the filename. Most interesting are x.x.x
Remember to remove IMEI from the filename

Then I'll tell you what to do next.

OK, so now...

Phone cannot be unlocked 4.1 means baseband higher than 1.59.00 - maybe it's factory unlocked but we don't know that.
You have to tell me if you'd like to jailbreak the phone or just make it working. If you want to jailbreak it you have to stay on 4.1, which is quite complicated but possible.
If you just want to restore the phone you have to:
1. Connect USB cable to the phone
2. Hold power and home button for 10 secs
3. Release power but still holding home button
4. Phone will be detected in iTunes and you'll be able to restore it. Pass code will be removed and phone will be working on iOS 5.0. JB possible but only tethered (or semi-tethered)

1. Extras/Submit and send the .plist file
2. Add this line to hosts file: 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
3. Restart your PC
4. iREB
5. Use latest iTunes to restore the software to CUSTOM 4.1
