Updated by mistake and didn't preserve base band.
I know there is no way to unlock phone at the moment.
But I cannot even use the phone as ipod because the phone will not activate.
I followed the guide on here to use snowbreeze to create a custom ipsw which allows hacktivation but the iphone4 still needs sim-card for activation .

jailbreak your iphone4 using redsnow9.9b7
and setup using wifi to activate...

I have done this but it still requires sim-card to activate ?
I just want to get the phone into the os so i can use as ipod untill unlock comes out for gevey sims.

Can anyone help me use this phone as and i-pod untill unlock is available ?

just restore it with custom ios 5 Hacktivated...

use 'search' to find custom ios 5 jailbreaked & hacktivated...
