Iphone4 restore unknown error (21) - GSM-Forum

Hi,
Could some one please help how to restore Iphone4 factory unlocked. I was trying to update from 4.3.5 to 5.1 and getting this error and now the phone is continuously in recovery mode. Please do help.

try to check your host file

You have to put your device into the DFU mode and not into recovery mode. Device won't boot correctly an stuck at the Apple logo after the error. Press and hold power and home button until it reboots.

Error when using Sauriks server for a restore with iOS 5.x in the recovery mode at least on a A5 device.

Iphone 4 - factory unlocked and i tried to restore in both the ways (recovery mode and dfu mode). Unfortunately my device is not kicking out of recovery mode. Can some body help with true solution.

dont even have antivirus but still error 21
