Try Restoring it in dfu mode!

To enter dfu (make sure the phone is connected to pc and itunes is running)

1. Switch phone off
2. press power button for 2 secs
3. without letting go of power button, press home button for 10 secs
4. let go of power button but keep pressing home button

After about 10 secs the computer will detect the phone and itunes should detect it in recovery mode. (the screen on iphone should be black).

Just restore now as normal.
