jailbreaked Iphone 4.1 3G upgrade OS - GSM-Forum

I have a Jailbroke Iphone 3g on Ios 4.1 baseband 6.15 looking to move it upto 4.2.1 but all attempts failed as end up in recover mode. Can someone give me a walk through on how to upgrade the IOS.

Software used has been redsnow .

use snowbreze to make a custom firmware,
then use itunes to flash that firmware,,
but use tinyumbrella 1st to save all your shsh.

or just update to v4.2.1 (u will get error),igno it,then in recovery mode.without disconnect usb,
do the v4.2.1 again,stil get error,then use ireb v4 to kick out of recovery.
jailbreak with redsnow,,,unlock with ultrasnow via cydia..
there lots different ways u can do it..
its cos u updated ur baseband to v06.15 you cant use stock firmware,cos bb cant b downgraded,,that why you get error after itunes flash...cos itunes is trying to put a lower bb in,,,v05.xx
