Jailbroke iPhone 4 6.0.1 but it didn't Hacktivate. - GSM-Forum

Hello,
I got a second hand iPhone 4 running iOS 6.0.1 for christmas today. I've jailbroke my iTouch before, easy enough.

So i did some research and used Sn0wbreeze to create some custom firmware on 6.0.1. Put it into DFU, restored it. Then i switched it off and iBooted it so that it would supposably hacktivate, but when it came back on and I configured the WiFi and the language, it still said I need a sim card to activate.

I don't have a sim card because as I said i got it second hand.

Anything i've done wrong here? I've tried it twice now and i can't understand why it won't Hacktivate. I'm not even sure if it's jailbroken properly because I can't get to my springboard to find Cydia.

From what i've seen, Redsn0w doesn't support 6.0.1 yet does it? Only 6.0.

I'll give it a try thanks! I've also just been reading about basebands and it's going to cost me £100 to unlock my iPhone! What a rip off.

EDIT: I've got the latest version of redsn0w (0.9.15b3) but when I load up my 6.0.1 firmware it says it isn't supported.

100% TESTEED .... install IEXPLORER , go to root / applications and delete: setup.app , restart iphone .........
