Here is the answers for 3GS model only:
3GS 3.13 new boot rom = NO
3GS 3.13 old boot rom jb by spirit = NO
3GS 3.0/3.01/ 3.12 oldboot rom JB without spirit = YES (the only can use custom FW Ios 4 for JB/UL)

Make no confused ..........Just wait for new solution

you are cunfuseing people...

all boot rom 3.1.3 jb by spirit possible also unlock by untasn0w..
only problem in new boot rom 0S4 jb

Hi everyones
Sorry you all,I meant to explain people the requirements of Iphone 3GS if they want to upgrade Custom firmware IOS 4 and have JB/Unlock

Only 3GS FW 3.0 to /3.12 Jailbreaked with old boot rom can be upgraded
to IOS 4 Custom FW other than this we have to wait for new solution JB for stock FW OS 4
Hope it more clear now.........
