little help for me please

hi there my mate has a iphone 3gs it has got fw 4.2.1 (8c148) and model mb489b he done a factory reset on it when it had been jailbroke and got frozzen on the apple logo on start up, i managed to get it restored with itunes (latest ver) now i wanted to know how to jailbreak it agen.

download redsn0w 0.9.8
select 4.2.1 firmware
check install cydia only and jailbreak after process complete
press back button
and check boot thetered
after finish fone will be jailbreak

if you are an mac user,JB your iphone with the new greepois0n.its not tethered
