Member: 420701 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | locked state iPhone 4 strange behaviour I was using the phone with a gevey sim just fine, until the phone was updated by mistake. So there was no way to have it working again, all sims i tried were invalid. However, I tried a T-mobile sim i purchased last year while vacationing in the US (one of those prepaid sims), and strangely it picked up the signal from a local carrier (Movistar), and i even received an sms from t-mobile welcoming me to Argentina and all the yadayada they text you when you enter another country. So the question is, how come it can pick up the signal from this local carrier by using a "T-mobile" sim? Shouldn't it tell me that the t-mobile sim is invalid as well?? |
