my iphone is sim free but i wanna to jailbreak it

i have 3gs sim free ver 4.2.1 but i wanna to jailbreak it
but when i use redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc8 and select install cydia and its done
but when i open my iphone i found cydia is white and its not open
i searched for that and guys says mark (just boot tethered right now )
but when i do this my iphone dose not start up every time i turn it of
any idea for jailbreak correctly

2. Turn off the iPhone.
3. Run the redsn0w program on your computer.
4. Select the correct IPSW file for your current installed firmware.
5. Check the box next to "Just boot tethered right now."
6. Click next and follow the on-screen instructions and your iPhone will boot jailbroken.

i think you have some bug's, so try this:
1 open redsn0w 0.9.6b6 and select just enter in pwned dfu right now
2 open itune and select original 4.2.1;you will get 1015 in end..
3 open redsn0w 0.9.6b6 and select just enter in pwned dfu right now
4 open itune and select ******* 4.2.1
5 jailbreak with redsn0w 0.9.6b6
6 give thanks if its work

1-why i will get 1015 iam sim free and basband 5.15 not 6.15 i flash it with out any error
2-is this steps dosn`t enter me in tethered mode ??

i just done mine today but no other way , do you know any site for ipa applications etc ? i know one is apptrackr.com all of app store games etc are free here you need to install via some triks

man when u jailbreak it even its factory unlocked u have to tethered it

4G but its on apple logo after restart but who cares just have to finish apllications 1st
