hi every body i have iphone 3gs firm 3.1.3 (7E18) baseband 05.12.01
i want to uprade it to firmw 4.1 and jailbreak with limera1n
i want to ask if after jailbreak i can unlock my iphone?
please answer me

if you put version 4.1 on your iPhone the baseband is 5.14 and this version is no baseband unlock
you must make a update to version 4.1 without updating the baseband

i used tinyUmbrella before i saved my shsh , now what i can do to :
updade ans jailbreak ans unlock

1. Run TinyUmbrella latest version.
2. Start TSS server in TinyUmbrella. If iTunes is running, then this will be killed.
3. Launch iTunes, connect iphone to your PC and then click SHIFT+"Restore" button.
4. Browse and select the iOS 4.1 IPSW file and let iTunes restore to this firmware.
5. iTunes should throw up error 1004 (Baseband Update failed).
6. Open TinyUmbrella and click "Kick device out of recovery mode".
Your phone restarts and you have iOS 4.1 in it with old baseband.

TinyUmbrella only lets Iphone 4 update firmware and not baseband. If you have 3G or 3GS Iphone when using TinyUmbrella your baseband will be up dated too.
