Member: 731613 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 67 | You don't need to download a firmware file if your updating to the latest firmware, just plug into itunes and click restore or upgrade! Itunes will automatically download the latest firmware from there servers and install it for you  What Ipod are you tryint to update? |

Member: 731613 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 67 | That is because it must be on the latest available firmware. What firmware is it on? You can do a restore to latest by unplugging the ipod, turning it off and whilst holding the home button in connect it to the usb lead, that will put the ipod into restore mode and then itunes will detect it in said mode Make sure it is backed up first as if it isnt you will lose everything |
