New Exploit Tool to Jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 by i0n1c


Stefan Esser, better known as i0n1c, announced via Twitter in several messages that he will provides an update on the status of the jailbreak of iOS 4.3.1. Apparently there's good news that expect the release of the new tool to run the jailbreak firmware 4.3.1.

The first message posted by I0n1c confirmed that the work to proceed the jailbreak brisked: the exploit has been untethered in fact sent to the first beta testers (probably members of the Dev Team or Chronic Dev Team) whose members will test the operation and give the report when any problems face them to I0n1c. This means that in a few days could be an interesting new information regarding the IOS 4.3.1 jailbreak.

In a second and third tweet instead I0n1c adds detail to his exploits: it will be a kernel vulnerability that removes the anti-debugging code that caused the problems

According to I0n1c this untethered jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 is based on the ROP most complex payload have ever seen, confirming that Apple is always willing to impede the jailbreak with new systems, just as the last 'ASLR ' that implemented on IOS 4.3.
