i had the smae error..i solve it now mine is 3gs after eror i jailbreakd with gp and after thatt installd cydia with redsnow is ok my device

problem solved by reinstal cydia thanks

I solved the error 29 during restore on iTunes replacing one 3GS battery with original spare.
(The phone was Water Damaged)

Good to know who error 29 is caused from software and not only a hw problem
