No network service after Jailbreaking iphone 3g HELP

Hello GUys,

i have iphone 3g 8gb i accidently upgraded it to 4.0.2 then i tried almost every way to downgrade which i always fails, but today it was my luck i again give a try and successfully i downgraded it to 4.0.1 then i jailbreak it with jailbreakme.com after that i needed to activate it so i use cydia.pushfix.info it activate the iphone before it was going on emmergency call only but after cydia.pushfix.info its activate but NO NETWORK SERVICE

i reboot the device many times but still didnt work out.

any solution please ????

Have you forgotten 'ultrasn0w' if so, install it from Cydia and then see your Network come to life....

If it's a 3G, there's no need to downgrade. Just jailbreak 4.0.2 with redsn0w. And yes, install ultrasn0w from Cydia to unlock.

Thanks https, but i want to unlock 4.0.1 version dnt want to upgrade anymore,

well guys i thought if we upgrade cyida fully then no need put manually repo666.ultrasn0w.com anyhow as u guys said u i manually install the repo in it but still there is no network............?

i have installed cydia.pushfix.info before do i need to uninstall it 1st then put ultrasn0w....?

also i have changed he lockdown file is there somthing wrong with it ?

please guide.....

Jailbreak

STEP 1
Press to select the address bar and input JailbreakMe then press the Done button.


Step 2: After Jailbreaking, Navigate to Cydia Source by Going to Cydia --> Manage --> Sources.

Step 3: Touch on “Edit” and then on “Add”. Type "http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com" then hit "Add Source". Ultrasn0w will be added to your Cydia Source lists.
Step 4: After you install Ultrasn0w in your Cydia sources list, Search for "ultrasn0w 1.0-1" and install this app, and it will automatically unlock your iPhone 4.

Does it work with original carrier's SIM card? If yes, try SIM from a different carrier, but not the SIM that showed no network. Does that work?
Also make sure that you have reception with a different phone. Post results.

I am having exactly the same problem as you,
A client camed to me with a iPhone 3g 8gb that he accidently updated to 4.1 .
I did the downgrade, jailbreake and the unlock first to 4.0.1 and then to 3.1.2 - no signal.
I must say that the phone was 100% working before the update and I am not a newbie and I know the unloking procedure and I did many pcs before!!!!!

BROTHER please check your baseband , if its 5.14.02 so no solution for now .

That's the exact problem, upgrading the baseband to 5.14.02 ... (looks like the thread starter also has same problem and he is not confirming) .. so no UNLOCK at the moment. And if your BL is 5.08 and lesser, downgrade the baseband and try unlock again, should work.

I think for 3G Apple is still signing 4.0.2. Can't you just do a regular restore to 4.0.2? Make sure hosts file doesn't contain gs.apple.com. For iPhone 4 this worked. Not sure about 3G though.
