I bought a new 3GS, 32GB. Its jailbreak and unlocked but when i inserted the sim, its just searching the network. Inside room finally it gives up and show No Service but our side in open air, it finds network but week signal. It is 4.1 and bb 05.13.04, Please help me to fix this problem.

bro u dont have to update it to the ipad baseband, since its on 05.13.04. You need update to ipad baseband only if u have a higher baseband than 05.13.04 ( eg 05.15 )than this. when you go to ultrasn0w it will tell which basebands are supported.

I dont know why fazalkhalid is saying to update to the IPAD BASEBAND.

Do not update ur baseband at all. Your phone can be BARED if not do a network reset or reinstall the ultrasn0w on cydia.

no need install baseband , if you do your iphone will never accept original firmware only custom firmware just reinstall ultrasnow or some fixer this if that is software problem

and it can be hardware

I have reinstalled utrasnow from cydia but its the same, no service.

it can be a hardware issure. contact apple through the online service assistant found in here https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do will replace it for you. even if u dont have warrenty. but make sure to delete cydia.

If you are at Open air or not, this dosnt mean you have full signal... first try this

1- turn off 3G and see the signal become strong .....?
2- in case keep not strong, carfully open the iphne if you didnt open one before search on youtube to know how open iphone, the dock where had USB, there are plug Nr. 7 this is the Arial of the iphone.. maybe it is out or not conected,,
3- most important,,, when your Iphone searching and give up so write No signal.. this is not Hardware problem... hardware peob;em will always searching.....

hi friends I have this same issue about iphone 3gs 16gb bb 05.13.04 without network signal.

first have firmware 4.0 unlocked and losing the network coverage
I update to 4.3 and preserve the 05.13.04 bb, install ultrasn0w 1.2.3 from cydia but continue losing network signal,.

what u think problem it's software or hardware???

pls post any solution or yours opinions

So for basbend 6.15 network working
But gps no worke fine havig just bb 5.13.04 u can just update ur cydia and ultrasn0w1.3 in cydia and reset network setting reboot phone and show ur phone whit sim card ,

may be your iphone is blocked by the network try with original sim card if its working ?
